Luiza Folegatti: Feminist protests in Berlin, 2018

Today we share two more inspiring images of a demonstration ✨, this time by Luiza Folegatti.

Here, we read “no is no”. This was done by the “Colectivo não é não”, who distributed stickers in several languages throughout the demonstration. They were created originally for a campaign to fight against harassment during the carnival.

The photographs were taken in Berlin on November 2018, during the Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Posters denouncing the mistreatment and high mortality among the black population in Brazil 🇧🇷, including the high mortality rate of mothers and the assassination of councilwoman and human rights activist Marielle Franco in 2018, investigation which has not yet been concluded.

Apart from being a photographer, Luiza Folegatti is an artist and social worker, and her main focus is on gender, identity and migration. She also facilitates photography workshops for women and for the youth.
