Ricardo De Marcos: Victoire

Où est le paysage que je veux voir?’
(“Where is the landscape I want to see?”)

Florescu Eusebiu Stevan, 50 years old. He arrived in France from Romania. He thought of himself surrounded by his brothers and sisters where he grew up.

These photographs were taken by Ricardo De Marcos ( @slim.erre ), spanish 22 year old artist who profited from an Erasmus opportunity at the University of Bordeaux 🇫🇷.

He wanted to engage in a socio-artistic project with the people that slept on the streets of his neighbourhood, “Victoire”. He offered them his help and time, and in return they gave him the opportunity to capture and interpret their reality. He did so by portraying the contrast between the visible scenario through photography and painting the inner scenario: the utopian landscapes they described. 💭

Nasser, a 46 year old from Yugoslavia. He only wanted to picture himself working.

The final artistic work: photography, pastel, acrylic paint and spray in wood with intervention of waste objects
